Hello, I'm Jeff Ellington and I'm your state representative for Indiana House District 62. Welcome to my campaign site.
On Feb. 7, 2020, I announced I am running for re-election. The challenges are big this year, to say the least.
I ran for re-election in 2016 and 2018 because like most Hoosiers, I am concerned about the economy, jobs and education. Today, COVID-19 and the restart of our great Hoosier and national economies have raised the stakes. We must succeed.
Like most people in my district, I am concerned about the health of Indiana University and Crane too.
I work and will continue to work as your representative at the Statehouse, not to represent Indianapolis, Washington, or big special interests -- but to represent you, and to bring everybody into the process: the people in Linton, Bloomfield, Switz City, Bloomington, Kirksville, Odon, Elnora, Worthington, Lyons, Newberry, Shoals and Loogootee.
I am a longtime Indiana small businessman and a proud husband to a Hoosier alumna, Hope, and a proud dad to a 2015 Hoosier graduate. And I'm a hockey dad.
In the 2016 and 2018 elections, I was endorsed by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Indiana Right to Life, the National Federation of Independent Business, and the NRA. In 2020 so far, I have been re-endorsed by the NRA and Indiana Right to Life.
I put jobs, economic development and constitutional rights at the top of our list. Those things are more important than ever.
But the work is not done until we restart the U.S. economy and beat back the coronavirus pandemic. We need to push wages to rise more, and attract more employers to District 62.
Please let me hear your concerns. I hope you join me in my efforts to keep the Hoosier economy roaring, to make Indiana education excel, and to secure our future for ourselves and our children.
